Cruising in his Jeep!

Jeremiah has figured out that he can move in his jeep!  It is so cute!  He likes to hop along, but he is starting to get the hang of "walking" in his Jeep walker!

New rides!

We've been busy the last couple of days!  Well, I always feel like we are busy, but the last couple of days have been non-stop!  Rin and I both took a couple hours off work on Friday, and we bought a new minivan!  That's right, I'm now a minivan mom!  Honestly, I always said I would never have a van, but after having Jeremiah I really wanted something with more space and vans are SO practical!  We've only had it for a day, but so far we love it!
Jeremiah's first time in the new van!
Ready to go!
When the weather is nice, we try to enjoy it!  The last couple of weeks, we've been talking about finding a park with swings for Jeremiah.  I had a feeling he would love to swing, and I was right!  Our neighborhood play area doesn't have swings, and most of the local parks don't have them either!  I guess it is too much a liability and too much upkeep, but I remembered that there was a swing in Rin's parents neighborhood!  We all hopped in the new van and enjoyed Jeremiah's first experience in a swing!
Very first time swinging!
I love that he would put his hands out and enjoy the ride!

Now I want a swing set!  I just need to find one that is reasonably priced, so Rin will be okay with it!!

Teeth!

On Monday, April 1, Jeremiah and I went on a walk (Rin had a meeting).  It was so nice outside, so I decided to sit out back on the swing and read to Jeremiah.  We were hanging out, and I decided to feel his gums, something I do this just about every day, and I felt two little bottom teeth!  Jeremiah has been drooling a lot since he was 4 months old, so I always thought he was teething, but he never seemed to feel too uncomfortable.  The first picture is right before I discovered he had two little teeth!  He didn't want me to "see" them long enough to take a picture, so I waited until Rin got home and Jeremiah was asleep!

Enjoying a beautiful evening outside on the swing!  Right before I discovered Jeremiah's new teeth!
Waiting for Daddy to get home - enjoying the bath!
Sound asleep, so I could get a picture of his teeth!  Look closely - they both broke through the gums!
So far, he is an excellent teether!  I am one proud Mommy!

Jeremiah's First Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!  We celebrated the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and teaching Jeremiah about this special day.  I have to admit, I tend to over-do-it for holidays, but I get so excited for Jeremiah to experience everything!  We started out our weekend with a fun egg hunt at the Taste of Forsyth at the Cumming Fairgrounds.  We had a fabulous time, and I think it will become a tradition to attend each year!

Jeremiah was worn out after the egg hunt!
Once we left the Cumming Fairgrounds, we went to The Avenue in search of the Easter Bunny!  We found him, and we were so excited, because their wasn't a line!  For the first time ever, Jeremiah showed that he was scared of something - the Easter Bunny!  He looked at him, let out a little scream, and buried his head in my chest!  About a minute later, he had warmed up to the Easter Bunny, and he wanted to "pet" him!

On Easter morning, we enjoyed all of our Easter goodies, went to church, and had a delicious dinner and Grandma and Poppy's!  Jeremiah had 4 Easter baskets!  He is one blessed baby!  He received spring clothes, a soft lamb, books, a couple froggy toys, a beach bag with his name on it, a towel with his name on it, a bathing suit, a couple bunnies, sand toys, Mickey Mouse rattle and lovie, and a sock monkey toy!  Out of everything, the plastic eggs are his favorite!

Easter pajamas!
Our crazy Easter table!  Mommy and Daddy received some goodies too!
Spending some time remembering Jonathon after church.

Jeremiah went straight for Mickey!
Checking everything out!
We had a very blessed day, and we are so thankful that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected.  He paid the ultimate penalty for our sins, so we may all have eternal life.  We are so blessed!  Happy Easter!!

7 Months!

My sweet baby is seven months old!  I say this every month, but time is flying by!  We have had so much fun this month, and it has been such a joy watching Jeremiah grow and learn new things.  I feel like he is changing each and every day.  His little personality is really emerging, and I think he is the best little guy around!  Enjoy this special little guy!

Weight:
I am going to estimate you weigh just under 17 pounds.  I'll have to try to weigh you and update this.

Height:
Another estimate, but I would say you are 27 inches tall.

Clothing Size:
Clothing size really varies... you wear a lot of 3-6 month outfits and some 6 months.  I've started buying you 6-9 month clothing, because I know you'll be wearing them soon!

Diaper Size:
You wear size 2 diapers, but at daycare you wear size 3!

Feeding:
You still LOVE to eat!!  We have introduced new foods this month, and you really, really like them!  I'm so happy I didn't push you to start eating food until you were ready.  We started with rice cereal, and you didn't like it.  On March 12, I tried oatmeal, and that went much, much better.  On March 17, you had your first veggie - peas, and you loved them!  On March 22, you tried carrots, and they were another hit!  On March 27, you had sweet potatoes, and they are your favorite so far!  You gobble up your food, but I think you still prefer breastmilk and cuddling with Mommy.  I'm not going to complain, I love our time together and I'm so happy I'm able to nourish my sweet boy.  We nurse in the morning and then you get a bottle or nurse again 2-4 hours later, 2 hours after that you get oatmeal and a veggie, 2-3 hours later you get another bottle or nurse, another 2-3 hours later you get "dinner" (veggies), and you usually nurse every 2-3 hours after that until you go to sleep.  You are definitely a growing boy!

First taste of peas!  You look a little skeptical, but you loved peas!
First taste of carrots!  Delicious!
First taste of sweet potatoes!  You love them!
Hair/Eyes:
Your eyes are getting darker - I would say they are a dark gray.  Your hair is slowly filling in, and it is still light with a red tint.  Fun Fact:  You and your cousin, Tristan, have the same exact hair color!

Sleep:
You still sleep like a champ, unless you have a cold - which you've had for the last week.  Usually, you sleep from around 9:30 p.m. until 7:30 a.m.  On weekends, you will nurse in the morning and go back to sleep until around 9 (or later).  On March 18, you started sleeping in the pack-in-play in our room.  You were growing out of the bassinet, but I'm still not ready for you to sleep in your room.  You would probably do fine... I tell myself you will start sleeping in your room once I get a video monitor.  We'll see. :)

Fun:
You are so much fun!  I love watching you explore everything around you.  You have started playing in your pack-n-play, or you will sit on the ground and play with your toys.  You still love your jeep/walker and your exersaucer.  You love anything you can grab a hold of - car toys (you love the steering wheel), stuffed toys, play rings, books, rattle, anything really.  Everything interests you now, and you want to hold onto everything - and put it in your mouth!  You love toys that make noise and light up.  You seem to LOVE the piano, so Poppy bought you a keyboard, and you really seem to enjoy it!  I think you may have a natural musical talent!  You LOVE your terriers - Baus, Brew, and Annabelle.  You love to pet them.  Anytime they are close to you, you reach for them and open and close your hand on their fur.  They love you too.  You love spending time outside, and we are so excited about the spring weather - going on walks and hanging out in the backyard are so much fun!  You have discovered how to "blow raspberries," and you think it is fun!  You love to roll all over the place.  You are SO ticklish!  You give Mommy "happy's" - smiles - and they always melt my heart.  I just look at you over and over again, just to see you smile.  You are usually a very easy going baby, and you love just about everything.

So happy!

Best friends!

Jeremiah, you have made the last seven months the best time of my life!  You bring nothing but joy to my life, and everyone around me.  I love you angel boy!
