Our Journey: 2012

I promise I'll get better at blogging. Time really is flying by - I can't believe my last blog post was one month ago! Jeremiah is now four months old, and he continues to amaze me everyday. Also, I'm back at work (very difficult for me), and my mom has been keeping Jeremiah this month. He starts daycare in January, and Rin's parents will keep him twice a week. I'm so thankful for all of the help, but I still need some prayers, as it is difficult for me to be away from Jeremiah! I know it is best for our family!

Weight:

At four months, I think you are about 14 pounds! We go for your four month check up next week, so I may need to update this once we have a more accurate weight.
**Update - at your 4 month check-up you weighted 14 lbs 11 oz (45th percentile)!! You are getting SO big!!!

Height:

I'm honestly not sure, so I'll wait to update this one after your doctor appointment next week. You seem to get longer by the day though!
**Update - 25 inches (also in the 45th percentile)!! I can't believe how quickly you are "catching up!"

**Head size - 16 inches (10th percentile). I think your "small" head makes you look like a very proportional baby! :)

Clothing Size:

You wear 0-3 month or just 3 month clothes and sleepers. You started wearing some shoes this month too! You wear size one shoe - I think they keep your feet warm when it is cold outside!

Diaper Size:

Size one diapers and some size 1-2 diapers. I think we'll move up to size 2 soon, but we'll finish using the smaller ones first! They still fit fine.

Feeding:

You eat every 3-4 hours during the day, with an occasional long stretch. At night, you go 10 hours between feedings.

Hair/Eyes:

Your hair is still a dark blonde/reddish color - the red is becoming more prominent. (Your hair is STILL a mystery to me.) Your eyes are a very dark blue, and at times they look dark gray.

Sleep:

You still love your sleep, and you have started sleeping 10 hours at night!! This makes a very happy Mommy! You sleep while I'm getting ready for work, and I wake to feed you and get you ready for the day. This really helps Mommy out!

Fun:

I have fun just looking at you and/or cuddling with you! I like to think cuddling is fun for you too! You love your play mat - you can now reach some toys and you grab a hold of them. You love lights and music too! You love your frogs, octopus, lady bug, elephants, and anything you can easily grab a hold of! You LOVE "Seabass" - he is your sea horse that lights up and plays music. He goes just about everywhere with you. You've discovered the television this month, and you are a big fan. You seem to like football and anything on the Disney channel. You have so many things to entertain you, but you also like to entertain yourself with your hands. You are amazed by them - you fold them together and just stare at them. You stretch your arms above your face and examine your hands - I love it!

We celebrated Christmas this month, and you made the holiday season SO special and fun! You are a little young, but one day you will enjoy Christmas too! Santa was very good to you, since you are such a good, sweet boy. We also talked about your big brother, Jonathon. He gets to spend Christmas with Jesus - we know he is having fun in heaven, but we miss him dearly. We bought gifts for a 2 year old boy in Jonathon's memory. I hope one day you will enjoy this tradition in memory of your brother. We also visited Jonathon's brick at church - you seemed to think it was pretty special!

Milestone: On Dec. 8, you rolled over for the first time from your tummy to your back! You were 14 weeks and 3 days old. You rolled to both the left and then the right! Look at this form:

I love you so much, sweet boy! I feel so blessed to be your Mommy!!

You are three months old, and every day is more fun than the last. I am so proud of everything you do! Time is definitely flying by, and I am soaking up every moment!

This month you celebrated your first Thanksgiving, and you met Santa and Mrs. Claus! We are all excited about spending the holidays with you - you make everything so much fun!!

Weight:

At your three months, I think you are about 12 pounds! This is me weighing you at home, so I could be off a little.

Height:

I'm honestly not sure, since we didn't have a doctor appointment this month. I'd guess around 24 inches, as I think you had a little growth spurt!

Clothing Size:

You wear 0-3 month clothes and sleepers. I pulled all of the newborn clothes out of your closet and dresser this month :(

Diaper Size:

Size one diapers. Pampers are still our favorite! We have some Huggies that are size 1-2, and I've started using some of those too!

Feeding:

You eat every 3-4 hours during the day, with an occasional long stretch. At night, you go about 8-9 hours between feedings.

Hair/Eyes:

Your hair is kind of a dark blonde/reddish color. Honestly, your hair is a mystery to me. I look at your sweet little face and hair in amazement. You are just perfect, and I wonder what color your hair will turn out to be. Your eyes are a very dark blue. You are so handsome!

Sleep:

You LOVE your sleep, and this makes Mommy very happy. You go anywhere for 7-9 hours of straight sleep each night!

Fun:

You are so much fun! I can have fun just staring at you, but over the last month you've become very interactive. You love to be talked to! Your favorite toy this month is Mr. Froggy. This is a toy Nana bought for you before you were born - he is very long and crinkles and squeaks! I told Nana this is your favorite toy, and she told me it is a dog toy!! This made us all laugh, and luckily the dogs haven't figured out it is a dog toy! At three months you talk up a storm, smile, coo, ahhh, kick your legs, and "stand up"! You are amazing and watching your grow and learn is so much fun. Sometimes, I just look at you with tears in my eyes - I am in awe of how perfect you are. You are an amazing gift from God, and I am so thankful you are mine!
